Once vibrant and modern, built to house the workers of one of the most powerful nuclear power plants in the former USSR, the Lithuanian town of Visaginas has found itself in the midst of an existential crisis. In August 2019, 4CITIES Master’s student Job Zomerplaag (Cohort 11) traveled to the North-Eastern edge of the European Union to participate in a 10-day summer school on the topic of post-nuclear urbanism. Reflecting on his experiences in Lithuania, Job shares his observations and insights from a town that is undergoing a process of reinventing its purpose and identity.

About the project
The Center for Humanities Education (EHU Academic Department of Humanities and Arts) and the EPAM School of Digital Engineering are pleased to announce their participation in the AI Aware Universities project.
The AI Aware Universities project is organized by the Center for Information, Democracy, and Citizenship (CIDC) at the American University in Bulgaria and funded by People Powered in collaboration with five European Universities: LCC University, Bard College Berlin, European Humanities University, BISLA, Central European University, to work together on addressing the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence on universities and education.

News AI in education: results of the international scientific and practical conference (EHU, Vilnius, September 12-13, 2024)

On September 12-13, 2024, the international scientific and practical conference “AI and Transformation of Communication Practices in the Contemporary Education” was held at the European Humanities University.  32 participants from Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Kazakhstan and India spent two days discussing the problems of integrating artificial intelligence into the educational process within three thematic panels.
