The European Humanities University (EHU) is proud to announce the publication of a groundbreaking book titled “Algocracy: Why and How Artificial Intelligence Changes Everything” (Polish: “Algokracja. Jak i dlaczego sztuczna inteligencja zmienia wszystko”), coauthored by EHU Rector Professor Krzysztof Rybinski and Jaroslaw Krolewski, Lecturer and Researcher at the AGH University of Science and Technology.

The book is published by Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN, the most respected scientific publishing house in Poland.

“We live in extremely interesting and challenging times. This is a moment in history when so many things have never been at our fingertips. At the same time, we are living in a time when we have never entrusted so many tasks to machines. Technologies allow us to co-create the world of which we are a part, they make us play the role of – to paraphrase IT terms – administrator of reality instead of being just a consumer of it. The future, regardless of segment, market, country or economy, will be dominated by meritocracy supported by artificial intelligence” – it is said in the book’s annotation.

“Algocracy” provides an insightful examination of how artificial intelligence has revolutionized industries, governance structures, and societal norms. This book is an approach to understanding the complexities of our AI-driven world, an attempt to reflect on the transformative power of algorithms and the future of human-machine interaction.
