The conference was organized by the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information, Tbilisi, Georgia.
The event was attended by Iryna Ramanava, head of the Center for Belarus and Regional Studies of the European Humanities University, Professor of the EHU Academic Department of Humanities and Arts.
Prof. Iryna Ramanava’s presentation at the panel “Manipulation of Historical Narratives: Propaganda, Disinformation and Means of Counteraction”, moderated by Anton Vatcharadze, Head of the Memory and Disinformation Studies Direction at the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI), was devoted to actualizing “acute” memory sites during and after the protests in Belarus in 2020.
Nobel Peace Prize 2022 laureate Yan Rachinsky, chairman of the historical, educational and human rights organization “International Memorial”, also participated in the panel discussion.
