Prof. Aliaksandr Puptsau elected new Senate Chair

On September 27, the first meeting of the new European Humanities University Senate took place. During the first meeting of the AY 2018/19 the new Chair, Prof. Aliaksandr Puptsau of the Academic Department of Humanities and Arts was elected.

In accordance with the new University Statutes, adopted in late June, Senate is a collegial academic advisory body of the University, responsible for the assessment of the quality of studies, research, and art activities. Members of the Senate are 2 professors, 2 associate professors, 1 lecturer and 1 assistant lecturer of the each of departments, 3 student representatives, Chief of Academic Affairs, Chancellor, Heads of Academic Departments.

Prof. Puptsau is a member of EHU faculty since 2008, his areas of academic interests are online pedagogics, theory and methods of IT teaching, management of education. In 1997 he defended his PhD at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University. At EHU Prof. Puptsau teaches Core Curriculum courses and IT-related courses for students of the Department of Humanities and Arts.

In AY 2018/19 EHU Senate is composed of 19 members of the University community.
