Lecturer Kseniya Shtalenkova took part in the XII Conference of the Nordic Association for Semiotic Studies

On November 6, Kseniya Shtalenkova, lecturer in the Academic Department of Humanities and Arts and Ph.D. Candidate of the programme in Philosophy at EHU, took part in the XII Conference of the Nordic Association for Semiotic Studies (NASS) “Meaning in Perception and the Senses”, held at Vilnius University.

Within the panel on perception and culture, Kseniya delivered a presentation under the title “Beyond Economics: Visible and Visual Significance of Currency Design”. The presentation is based on Kseniya’s main thesis in her Ph.D. dissertation and highlights the paradox of money as a visible material form and its visual representations used in currency design.
