EHU Pre-Moot 2025: Preparation for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot

From February 27 to March 1, 2025, the European Humanities University will host The EHU Pre-Moot 2025 — an international event organized by the Academic Department of Social Sciences. This is a unique opportunity for law students to improve their arbitration skills and prepare for the largest and most prestigious international arbitration competition — the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, held annually in Vienna since 1994.

The Willem C. Vis Moot brings together teams of law students from universities worldwide, offering participants the chance to engage in a mock arbitration process on issues of international commercial law. The Pre-Moot serves as a preparatory phase, helping participants enhance their legal arguments, refine their public speaking skills, exchange experiences, and receive valuable feedback from professional arbitrators before the official competition begins.

In 2024, EHU hosted this event for the first time, bringing together young lawyers from Eastern and Central Europe. This year, we continue the tradition and are excited to welcome students from around the world once again!
