The European Humanities University (EHU) was represented by Rector, Dr. Vilius Šadauskas, whose participation emphasized the University’s engagement with regional cultural discourse and the integral role of education in shaping cultural consciousness.
“For every society, its cultural identity – how it is understood and passed on to future generations – is a fundamental condition for preserving historical national awareness and mentality,” stated dr. Vilius Šadauskas.
EHU’s involvement underscores its commitment to fostering civic and cultural engagement and to preparing future leaders who will not only inherit, but actively shape, the cultural narratives of Lithuania and the region.
In his address, Dr. Vilius Šadauskas emphasized the European Humanities University’s mission, providing a unique educational platform for youth from Belarus and the broader region who seek academic freedom and a connection to European values. He stressed that, in light of rapidly changing social realities and outdated approaches in traditional education systems, EHU’s proactive commitment to innovative, student-centered learning is essential for equipping young people with the critical thinking and cultural awareness needed to contribute to a vibrant, democratic society.
