EHU Hosts High-Level Meeting with Partner Countries

On January 30th, 2025, European Humanities University (EHU) hosted a high-level meeting between the university’s leadership and representatives from the embassies of Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The event aimed to strengthen international partnerships and present the university’s strategic developments.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Grete Sillasen, Ambassador for the Eastern partnership Christina Johannesson, Ambassador Jaana Teckenberg, Ambassador Hermann Ingolfsson, Ambassador Asta Andrijauskienė, Special Representative Gunta Pastore, Senior Counselor Marko Koplimaa, Political adviser Naubartas Urmanas and other diplomatic officers.
During the meeting, EHU Rector Dr. Vilius Šadauskas presented the university’s renewed mission, priorities of EHU and outlined the development plans. EHU administrative reforms, student support mechanisms and the expansion of EHU to the new campus were discussed. Currently EHU is the alma mater for students from Belarus and other 15 nationalities. The international profile of EHU study programs with worldwide partnerships for employment opportunities plays a significant role. The everyday operational challenges and key priorities for securing sustainable funding for the institution were also addressed during the meeting. This open dialogue provided a platform for EHU partners and supporters to gain deeper insights into EHU’s strategic direction and address questions related to its future initiatives.
