Under the legislation of Belarus, the use of materials designated as “extremist” may constitute an administrative offense and may result in fines or administrative detention.

For those currently residing in Belarus or planning to travel there, we strongly recommend taking precautionary measures:

  • Clear your browser history after visiting ehu.lt (regardless of the language version: Russian, Belarusian, English, or Lithuanian);
  • Avoid reposting materials from ehu.lt on public social media platforms;
  • Inform friends and acquaintances who may visit ehu.lt about the current situation and necessary safety measures;
  • Unsubscribe from the above-mentioned social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube)

The website ehu.lt will continue its operations while implementing enhanced measures to ensure the protection of user data.

It is important to note that the extremist designation applies solely to the above-mentioned EHU information channels. Educational programs, academic research, and other activities related to the university are not subject to any restrictions or violations under Belarusian law.

This information does not affect the daily operations of the university.
The academic year will begin on October 1.
