EHU Rector’s meeting with the Representatives of European Commission  (DG ENEST) 

On  18th of February, 2025  EHU Rector Dr. Vilius Šadauskas met the delegation from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood headed by Mr. David Cullen.

The discussion focused on the long-term strategic direction of EHU, emphasizing the university’s ongoing funding needs, future vision, and the challenges impacting its mission. Particular attention was given to the ongoing reform processes.

Rector Dr. Vilius Šadauskas presented EHU’s key performance indicators, study programs’ portfolio updates, budgetary issues and scientific achievements.  Additionally, the discussions explored the operational mode of its branches. Representatives of the EHU School of Business and Economics (BISEB) presented the school’s vision for the upcoming years and the important role of the partnership with the business stakeholders in the study process. An important emphasis was made for the student’s employability path. The meeting was followed by the tour of the newly developed second university campus.

EHU extends its sincere appreciation to the European Commission, a steadfast partner in its mission. The Commission’s unwavering commitment—both in values and financial support—continues to play a crucial role in ensuring the university’s sustainability and empowering students and faculty to excel.
