The event aimed to explore and highlight available inter-state mechanisms for addressing the situation in Belarus. The objective of the event was to raise awareness of individual experts/representatives of organizations and/or governmental agencies on the existing legal instruments available for States who are monitoring the crisis in Belarus and who are considering possibilities to proceed with legal remedies to stop further human rights violations that pose a threat to a сommon peace and security.
During the discussion, arguments pro et contra were presented on the basis of the available legal instruments on inter-state accountability as well as on analyses of existing legal and diplomatic practice.
