About the program

The “International Business and Trade Law LL.M.” programme is designed to train qualified lawyers who are capable of working effectively in the global legal environment.

The programme develops practical skills for successfully conducting transnational transactions and solving complex legal tasks that are particularly important in the modern international economy.

Potential career

The programme offers graduates broad career prospects in the field of international trade and business law, allowing them to work effectively in international companies, law firms, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations, successfully addressing the challenges of the global legal environment.

Graduates of the programme can work in positions such as:

  • International law attorney — providing advice on international contracts, arbitration, and legal regulation.
  • Corporate lawyer or corporate governance consultant — working in the legal departments of international companies or in specialized firms.
  • International trade specialist — working in international trade companies, banking institutions, and government agencies on commercial and investment law matters.
  • Intellectual property and financial law specialist — supporting financial transactions and managing intellectual property in law firms and international corporations.
  • Corporate social responsibility (CSR) expert — developing strategies and projects aimed at advancing corporate social responsibility and sustainable business development.

Academic career — the opportunity to pursue a PhD in law and conduct research in the international legal field.

Admission Requirements

📢 Important!

Admission to the Master’s programmes is conducted without entrance exams, based on a motivational interview and confirmation of the English language proficiency (B2 or higher). Candidates must also meet at least one of the following academic criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in another field with additional university-level legal education (at least 60 ECTS credits);
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in another field with at least 3 years of work experience in the legal field (additional legal education of at least 15 ECTS credits required);
  • Higher legal education diploma with additional legal courses (at least 60 ECTS credits).

Applicants’ legal experience is evaluated according to internal university regulations. Candidates without a legal education background may be offered an individual study plan.

Enrollment for this program will open in the fall of 2025. Studies will begin in the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
