About the program
The Joint Master’s Programme in “Integrative Urban Studies” (INUS) is a groundbreaking two-year interdisciplinary Master of Social Sciences developed in partnership between the European Humanities University (Lithuania), the Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic) and the University of Wroclaw (Poland).
The programme enables students to experience three dynamic European cities — Brno, Vilnius, and Wroclaw — while engaging in a cutting-edge curriculum focused on urban transformation in post-socialist contexts. INUS is the first programme of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, integrating urban design, social sciences, policy, and planning.

Program Curriculum
INUS is the first programme of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, integrating urban design, social sciences, policy, and planning. The curriculum offers deep theoretical knowledge and practical experience across four semesters:

Semester I (Brno – “Space”)
Focus: physical form of cities and intersections of architecture, politics, economics, and society
Key course: Studio on Urban Environment and Strategies (12 ECTS) -
Semester II (Vilnius – “Actors”)
Focus: stakeholders—governments, communities, businesses—shaping urban futures
Key course: Research Project – Policy of Integrative Urbanism (12 ECTS) -
Semester III (Wroclaw – “Policy”)
Focus: urban governance, infrastructure, and policymaking in post-socialist Europe
Includes core and elective courses in urban theory, policy, and planning -
Semester IV – Thesis
Individual thesis project in cooperation with local institutions, NGOs, municipalities, or private companies
The Integrative Urban Studies program offers Part-time session-based format, featuring evening live online classes, active engagement with instructors, a flexible schedule, strong academic community support, and final on-campus assessment.

Admission Requirements
Admission to the Master’s programmes is conducted without entrance exams, based on a motivational interview and confirmation of the English language proficiency (B2 or higher). Candidates must also meet at least one of the following criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, architecture, urban studies, geography, or a related field;

Relevant academic background combined with documented experience in urban planning, policy, or related projects;

Submission of a structured CV, a portfolio, and a list of previous projects or publications demonstrating interest and engagement in urban topics.
