EHU leadership meets with U.S. Embassy representatives to discuss ongoing collaboration and future initiatives

On April 11, 2025 EHU welcomed representatives of the U.S. Embassy’s Belarus Affairs Unit, Ms. Jennifer Uhler and Ms. Ieva Miklaševsakaja. The dialogue reaffirmed the strong and enduring partnership between EHU and the U.S. Embassy underscoring EHU’s role in supporting the growth of the Belarusian academic community by creating opportunities for both students and emerging scholars. Special appreciation was expressed for the Embassy-supported English language courses, which continue to enrich the academic and professional development of EHU students and staff. The conversation also highlighted the active involvement of EHU community members in the Fulbright Program and explored new prospects for continued academic exchange. 

Rector Dr. V. Šadauskas shared updates on the University’s new campus, current enrollment trends, and the ongoing expansion of academic programs. The discussion also touched on the challenges faced by students living in emigration and emphasized the importance of fostering deeper integration into Lithuania’s academic, research, and job market landscapes.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to continued collaboration and shared readiness to address future challenges.
