Skaryna Sign was opened in the European Humanitarian University

Last Friday, June 7, a ceremonial presentation of the Skarynas sign took place in the Skarynas Hall of the European Humanities University. The sign created in Skaryna’s honor was financed only by the personal funds and initiative of teachers, employees and students.

The idea to create this sculptural sign for the 500th anniversary of book printing in Vilnius belongs to professors U. Dauhiala, A. Kalbaska and S. Chareuski of the Department of Humanities and Arts.

The sculptural composition created in Belarus has finally taken an honorable place in the historical walls of our university. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this event! Together we can do good and beautiful things worthy of the memory of our great first printer – Francysk Skaryna!
