The “OPPORTUNITY” initiative received funding approval

The European Humanities University, in collaboration with partners in Poland and Germany, has submitted an application and received funding for the “Opportunity” project under the European Social Fund Agency (ESFA) call for proposals “Innovative approaches to mitigating the social consequences of Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine in EU countries.”

The OPPORTUNITY project is an 18-month initiative aimed at reducing the difficulties faced by self-employed Ukrainian refugees. Based on in-depth research, the development of training programs, and capacity building, the project consortium will adapt the “Own Business Opportunities” model to the needs of Ukrainian refugees. Increased involvement of representatives from various institutions, strategic communication, and advocacy activities will aim to achieve a sustainable positive impact on the integration of Ukrainian refugees in Poland and Germany, and will also allow the developed solutions to be adapted for vulnerable social groups.

The project is being implemented jointly with partners: the International Rescue Committee in Poland and Germany, the “Microfinance Center” in Poland, and “Perspektive neuStart” in Germany.
