Lecturer Neada Mullalli participated in the IWT OSUN Global Debate Network workshop on Debate in the Classroom: Writing, Speaking, Teaching.

On July 10 – 15, Neada Mullalli, lecturer at the European Humanities University, Department of Social Sciences, participated in the IWT OSUN Global Debate Network workshop on Debate in the Classroom: Writing, Speaking, Teaching. The workshop took place at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.

The focus of this interactive workshop was thinking, reading, and writing about best practices in relation to classroom debates. Throughout the workshop, the participants engaged in lively discussions with each other, as well as in prepared or impromptu speeches within a debate setting.

The OSUN Global Debate Network focuses on public debates, curricular debate initiatives, and debate outreach work. It aims to re-conceptualize the role and function of a university debate program and to position debate not just as an extracurricular activity but as a centerpiece of higher education.
