EHU Recognized as a Leader in Science and Internationalization Among Lithuanian Private Universities

The magazine “Reitingai” has released its latest rankings of the top universities and colleges in Lithuania. This year, Lithuanian universities were assessed across 42 different criteria, which are grouped into five main categories: the added value created by alumni and employer feedback, scientific, artistic, and athletic achievements, as well as contributions to the national economy, students and academic quality,international competitiveness in higher education, and current and future academic staff.

EHU earned the strongest scores in scientific performance among private institutions: to evaluate research performance, “Reitingai” drew on the results of the 2023 formal assessment conducted by the Research Council of Lithuania (LMT). The evaluation also considered both national and international applied research and experimental development projects, assessed in terms of both impact and funding.

EHU also ranks first among private universities in all key indicators of internationalization: the highest ratio of international to local students and the highest proportion of foreign faculty compared to local staff.

The latest rankings highlight the EHU as one of the leading private educational institutions in Lithuania, particularly in terms of scientific performance and internationalization. These results reflect EHU’s strong research output, international profile, and its growing global engagement, positioning the university as a key player in the Lithuanian and regional higher education landscape.
