EHU Expands Integration into the Lithuanian Higher Education System

On July 24, 2024, Justas Nugaras, the Vice Minister of Education, Science and Sports, visited the European Humanities University (EHU). During the meeting, the parties discussed EHU’s areas of activity, cooperation directions, and future prospects.

Acting Rector, Dr. Vilius Šadauskas, presented the university’s unique mission in the context of its activities in exile. The meeting covered the university’s current achievements, further integration into the Lithuanian education system, opportunities for cooperation with other higher education entities and state institutions, reforms to improve the quality of study programs, directions for the development of scientific research, and the prospects for doctoral studies.
Vice Minister Justas Nugaras expressed interest in the employment opportunities for EHU graduates in Lithuania and abroad. It was emphasized that EHU graduates are valued by employers for their language skills (especially in Slavic languages) and intercultural competence. The parties discussed the directions for the development of EHU’s study programs and niche areas of the labor market where EHU can offer unique competencies.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to strive for more active cooperation and communication in all areas of activity.
