We Can Be Better Together Thanks to Our Differences

On March 26th, a meeting of students from Belarus, France, and Ukraine took place at EHU. The event had a clear goal: to debunk the myth that social and cultural differences divide us and to prove the opposite – that unity in diversity can create strong and resilient communities capable of overcoming challenges and driving change.

During two hours of open and sincere dialogue, participants gained deeper insights into the social, historical, and cultural backgrounds of their respective nations, fostering a greater appreciation for each other’s perspectives.

Through discussions, debates, and even psychological research, students challenged ethnic and cultural stereotypes, revealing them to be largely misleading and often completely deceptive.

The first three-nation student meeting concluded with a shared desire to continue these gatherings on a regular basis, expanding the circle to include even more peers from different backgrounds.
