During the meeting University President Prof. Anatoli Mikhailov and Acting Rector Jørgen Jørgensen presented the progress of EHU’s development in the autumn semester of the Academic Year 2016/17.
University leadership highlighted a role of genuine transformation of social sciences and humanities in the context of the post-totalitarian transformation in Eastern Europe.
According to Ambassador Ms. Jana Vanaveski: “I am pleased to learn, what tasks have been undertaken by the University leadership in ensuring the enhancement of EHU’s further operations. Estonia is a long-standing member of the family of EHU’s donors and supports the importance of University’s mission”.
Estonia will take over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in July-December 2017.
