At the heart of creativity lies the individual—the human being. Technology is merely a tool. But in an era of rapid AI advancements, does this perspective still hold true?
Gianluca Sodaro, an Italian film director, photographer, and storyteller, will share his professional journey — from his first short films at the age of 22 to internationally acclaimed works. Through the lens of his own experience, he will explore storytelling, reveal how an artist’s inner vision shapes their creative language, and explain why technology remains just an instrument, not the essence of art.
During the lecture, attendees will have the opportunity to watch three short films and several experimental videos spanning different stages of the director’s career. This screening offers a unique chance to explore the evolution of an artist and find inspiration for personal creative endeavors.
