Anti-war Marathon. Webinar “Ukraine’s Refugee Crisis: Reports from the Region”

The Anti-War Marathon continues and the European Humanities University invites everyone to join the second webinar of the Marathon, which will take place on April 13 and will be held by Stony Brook University, New York.

The topic of the webinar: “Ukraine’s Refugee Crisis: Reports from the Region”.

Panelists:

  • Wojciech Bakun, mayor of the city of Przemysl, Poland, a city of 60,000 on the border with Ukraine that welcomed over 300, 000 refugees;
  • Natalie Gryvnyak, a Ukrainian journalist reporting in the international media, founder of InFeatures Story Production;
  • Alina Koushyk, Belarusian journalist, Belsat, Center for the Belarusian Solidarity;
  • Maria Genkin, Razom, a New York-based non-profit organization supporting the people of Ukraine;
  • Slawomir Sierakowski, Polish journalist, literary critic, and sociologist; heads Krytyka Polityczna, a movement of new-left intellectuals;
  • Marci Shore, intellectual historian, Yale University, author of The Ukrainian Night: An Intimate History of a Revolution.

Moderators:

  • Izabela Kalinowska-Blackwood (State University of New York at Stony Brook);
  • Andrzej W. Tymowski (Senior Adviser, International Programs of the American Council of Learned Societies).
