EHU Social Scholarship can be assigned for students of all programs, forms and years of studies.
Students who are citizens of any state can apply for the Social Scholarship from the University, with the except for citizens of Lithuania (a state Social Scholarship has been established for them).
The size of the EHU Social Scholarship is 123.5 euros per month. The Scholarship payment period is established on the basis of an application and decision of the Rector.
Please note that in order to receive a Social Scholarship, you must have documents confirming your difficult situation (see EHU General Financial Rules (Appendix 3) in Moodle LMS). Among other things, the age of applicants should not exceed 25 years. Other conditions can be found in the Regulations (please read this document carefully – (see EHU General Financial Rules (Appendix 3) in LMS Moodle)).
First-year students can also apply for the Social Scholarship, as well as students who have been transferred to EHU and do not have previous experience of studying at EHU.
To apply, please provide the following documents:
- Application addressed to the Rector with a brief motivation containing information about the situation of the student (more details in the Regulations);
- Copies of documents confirming the stated difficulties (depending on each specific case);
- Other documents confirming the crisis situation (medical certificates, characteristics, salary certificates, certificate of dependency, etc.).
You can apply for a Scholarship all year round, applications are considered no more often than once a month after the accumulation of a sufficient number of applications. Centralized announcement of the Social Scholarship is being performed once a year (in the autumn semester), then the submission is decentralized (a student can apply at any time, but be supported only once a year).
