EHU welcomes Dr. Mantas Adomėnas to the Governing Board

The European Humanities University (EHU) is honored to announce the appointment of Dr. Mantas Adomėnas as a new member of its Governing Board. Dr. Adomėnas is a distinguished scholar, public intellectual, and policymaker with a wealth of experience in academia, government, and international affairs.

A Classicist educated at Vilnius University and the University of Cambridge, Dr. Mantas Adomėnas has held academic positions at both institutions and currently serves as an Associate Professor at Vilnius University and Senior Research Fellow at the Baltic Institute of Advanced Technology. Dr. Mantas Adomėnas served as a Member of the Lithuanian Parliament (2008–2020) and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (2021–2023), playing a key role in higher education reform, diaspora engagement, and foreign policy. Dr. Adomėnas was one of the architects of the Lithuanian higher education reform (2009), author of “The Global Lithuania Strategy” for relations with diaspora (2010), and worked on a range of issues, including culture and education, foreign affairs, migration policy, and national security.

EHU welcomes Dr. Mantas Adomėnas expertise in education, governance, and diplomacy, confident that his leadership will significantly contribute to the university’s mission of fostering critical thinking and European values.
