Lecturer at Academic Department of Social Sciences (European Humanities University) Dr. Rūta Sutkutė visited Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility For Teaching between 19-24 June 2023.
Lectures and seminars on Intercultural Communication, Crisis Communication in the Digital Age, Introduction to Intercultural Communication and Development of Mass Media in Lithuania were taught to students of the Faculty of Communication.
Meetings with the Dean, heads of departments, other professors and lecturers of the Faculty of Communication at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University were also organized. During the staff mobility week, the main aim was not only to engage in teaching activities but to establish and maintain relations with partners, to discuss the possibilities of further cooperation, initiation of joint projects under Erasmus+ and other programs, as well as to share good practices and promote future collaboration. During the visit and related teaching activities dr. Rūta Sutkutė was hosted by associate Professor Bahar Kayıhan (Faculty of Communication).
R.Sutkutė presented the European Humanities University, study exchange opportunities, study programs, projects, etc. Emphasis has been given to ongoing activities, expansion of international exchange and cooperation opportunities for students and teachers at European Humanities University.
The lecturer also had a meeting with Dr. Mehmet Şengül on June 22, 2023, at the International Relations Office. During the meeting, issues such as the continuity of the agreement between universities and the promotion of student mobility were discussed. Dr. Sutkutė confirmed that mobility for teaching at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University has contributed to the improvement of competencies related not only to teaching in foreign universities but also to new experiences and intercultural communication, which is one of the main areas of her research along with political communication.
