Department of Humanities and Arts

What is the Department of Humanities and Arts?

This is an educational space where students have a chance to understand that humanities is, above all, the ability to create oneself, to be the author of one’s own life, and to find a language for self-expression.

This is an opportunity to relate to outstanding authors of the past and present, to unlock and transform one’s creative potential within the context of European cities and their unique Genius loci.

This is a community of like-minded individuals — faculty and students — united around three main directions:

  • heritage and the European tradition,
  • design and creative imagination,
  • theatre and performativity.

This is a joint effort focused not on mechanical knowledge transfer, but on co-creation and the generation of new ideas.

This is a space where independent thinking is formed beyond the boundaries of the standard academic environment — where practice comes before theory, and personal experience becomes the foundation of learning.

This is a co-creation laboratory where faculty and students together reflect on contemporary challenges, seek creative solutions to urgent problems, and implement collaborative projects.

This is a strategy aimed at developing teamwork skills — a core element of any project-based activity. It is an experience that prepares students for a future where portfolios matter more than diplomas and project work becomes the norm.

This is a place where you won’t get a ready-made profession — because many of today’s jobs will have disappeared by the time current students retire. The only way forward is to assemble a unique combination of personal qualities that will allow the creation of a profession that does not yet exist.

This is an educational experiment that attracts interest from universities in Europe and the USA, international organizations, the business community, and members of the intellectual elite.

This is a space where thinking, language, imagination, wonder, effort, and emotion are reawakened after school.
