Thanks to Estonia, the University will be able to continue providing tuition-free waivers and free dormitory accommodation to those students, who will begin their studies at EHU starting the spring semester.
Estonia has been a member of the international coalition of donors, who have supported the re-establishment of EHU after the University was shut down by the Belarusian authorities in 2004. Up until now the total amount of support provided by Estonia to EHU has been at the level of 125 000 Eur.
Recently, a number of donors joined the EHU Emergency Fund, among them — the Swedish Institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. The University continues to negotiate with the other potential donors in order to further expand the outreach of the Emergency Fund.
