European Humanities University became a full member of ESN Lithuania

On 14 June, the Lithuanian National Platform of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) has formally accepted the European Humanities University (EHU) to the full membership of the ESN Lithuania chapter.

Lithuanian National ESN platform is held four times a year, where the most important decisions and plans for the upcoming work of the organization are discussed.  According to the results of the closed vote of representatives of 12 official ESN sections of ESN Lithuania, the candidate section was elected as the new 13th official section and to become ESN EHU section.

Throughout the past 6 months, the candidate section was supervised by EHU student Anhelina Shablouskaya (MA Public Policy), with the support of the Communication and Development Unit, as well as the ESN buddy section of Vilnius University.

ESN is the largest international student organization, founded in 1989. The organization’s units operate in more than 500 higher education institutions in 40 European countries, including Lithuania. ESN’s activities are aimed at creating a more smooth and flexible educational environment, maintaining and developing the experience of student exchanges, as well as providing opportunities for acquiring intercultural experience to those students who cannot pass the period of study abroad (“internationalization at home”). ESN exists on the principle of “students help students”. EHU ESN will help incoming students adapt, as well as provide practical advice to those EHU students who are willing to go on exchange.

ESN section status will provide EHU students with the opportunity to integrate into the community of Lithuania and the European Union by participating in various conferences, workshops, and international projects to improve communication skills, integration, creating a wide network of professional ties among international specialists in various fields of science, culture, arts and other spheres.
