Poetess and translator Tatsiana Netbayeva replaced Andrei Khadanovich, who served as the chairman of the international human rights organization of professional writers “PEN Centre” Belarusian chapter for last 8 years. While supporting the candidacy of Tatsiana, an outstanding Belarusian writer Uladzimir Arlou emphasised that she is a talented author and an experienced cultural project manager.
Last year EHU alumna received the “Debut” award for her poetic book “The Sirens Sing Jazz”. Tatsiana also became famous after publishing the Belarusian translation of Ewa Thompson’s book “Imperial Knowledge”. She was inspired to translate this book while preparing an essay during her studies at EHU.
