Building upon the momentum of our Conference discussions and the shared commitment to safeguarding the legal profession, we are pleased to recommend a high-level joint event “Protecting Lawyers to Ensure Access to Justice”.

Organised by the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) in cooperation with the Council of Europe, the International Bar Association Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI), and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, this event will gather prominent international voices to address the urgent and evolving challenges facing lawyers worldwide.
This event is an opportunity to continue the legal discussion upon the Convention on the Protection of the Profession of Lawyer and draw attention to the situation in our region towards human rights and the conditions of the legal profession.

- Margaret Satterthwaite – UN Special Rapporteur on the Independence of Judges and Lawyers
- Christoph Henrichs – Chair of the Council of Europe Committee of Experts on the Protection of Lawyers (CJ-AV)
