Both sides emphasized that private universities carry not only academic responsibility but also a broader mission to contribute to innovation, openness, and internationalization in Lithuanian higher education. Rector Neverienė underscored the belief that only coordinated and consolidated efforts among private institutions can bring about tangible, sustainable progress — particularly in areas such as doctoral education, research infrastructure, and policy influence.
Special attention was given to closer cooperation in the development of joint academic projects and platforms for scholarly exchange. One notable area of shared interest was the EHU-published academic journal Topos, which drew strong interest from the KSU leadership as a potential venue for their scholars’ research contributions.
Rector Neverienė expressed her appreciation for the openness of the dialogue and the possibility of meaningful cooperation ahead — with both institutions standing united under the banner of private universities as an integral part of Lithuania’s academic future.
