Prof. Almira Ousmanova Took Part in the Warsaw East European Conference

On July 8–9, the XVIIth Annual Warsaw East European Conference (WEEC 2021) was held. The Conference was organized by the University of Warsaw and was dedicated to the topic “Year of Changes in Belarus”. Professor of the Department of Social Sciences of the European Humanities University Almira Ousmanova took part in the event.

On July 8, Prof. Almira Ousmanova was moderating the round table discussion on the topic “New Language vs. Old Methods. Media that Changed Belarus”. The discussion was focused on the evolution of Belarusian media after 2020 and the new communication and mediation opportunities that have appeared in the media.

On July 9, Prof. Almira Ousmanova took part in the panel discussion on the topic “Identity Dispute. Do Belarusians Need a National Identity?” as a speaker. This discussion was addressing the connection between protests and the problem of understanding the national identity of the Belarusian people.
