The Winner of the Competition for the Lobko Scholarship was Announced

As a result of the annual contest for the Valery Lobko scholarship Kseniya Lukashenia, a 4th year full-time student of the bachelor program “Media and Communication” became its winner.

Professor Alvydas Lukys, chair of the competition committee, commented on the decision to award the scholarship as follows:

“The Commission for the awarding of the Lobko Scholarship, after discussing the evaluation results of all applicants, decided to award the scholarship on the basis of the best grade and in accordance with the goals of the Valery Lobko scholarship (high achievement in artistic creativity and academic results) to Kseniya Lukashenia.

The Commission consisted of professors of core disciplines in the field of photography, graphic design, animation, web design, and printing.”

Annually, the Lobko scholarship is awarded to an EHU student who demonstrate a high level of academic performance and significant achievements in graphic design, visual arts or animation.

Valery Lobko (1951-2008) initiated the creation of the Minsk School of Photography and was a member of the Association of Designers and the Association of Photographers of Belarus. V. Lobko was not only a talented photographer but also a bright academic figure. In recognition of V. Lobko’s numerous merits, EHU established this annual named scholarship.
