The Student Exhibition “There This Is” was held in EHU

From June 6 to June 19, the student exhibition There This Is was held in the EHU academic building. It was dedicated to rethinking our building from an existential point of view. The students conducted preliminary research in two areas (the history of the building and the specifics of the concept of “existentialism”), which helped them find a new solution for the dialogue about our campus.

A small team of EHU students, with the support of their teachers, created an exhibition revealing 3 levels of the building’s perception of life. It would be true to say that the building has undergone its existential crisis and therefore perceives the world differently. As a result, the usual worldview is distorted by its 3 new characteristics:

1 – The usual perception of the world remains clear, but it no longer works.

2 – The surrounding world is perceived as a distorting mirror.

3 – The building experiences an attraction to some true meaning which is inaccessible to the mind and is felt by every part of the body.

During 2 weeks at EHU, you could find 5 special windows with students’ works reflecting this concept, as well as QR codes with sound accompaniment to them.

The exhibition was supported by the Department of Humanities and Arts.
