Historic Meeting with Belarusian Diaspora in New York: EHU’s Rector Strengthens Connections

In a historic first for the European Humanities University (EHU), Professor Krzysztof Rybinski, the university’s Rector, recently held a significant meeting with the Belarusian diaspora in New York.

This event marked a pivotal moment in EHU’s history, as the Rector addressed and interacted with the Belarusian community in the United States for the first time. As Professor Rybinski aptly put it, “EHU offers education based on democratic values to some 1500 students, including 1200 students from Belarus. We are also working closely with many Belarusian NGOs in exile with a goal to strengthen civil society through education and social projects.”

The gathering provided a unique opportunity for members of the diaspora to engage with the university’s leadership and discuss various matters of mutual interest. Professor Rybinski’s outreach to the Belarusian community in New York highlights EHU’s commitment to fostering connections and collaboration with the global Belarusian diaspora, further strengthening the university’s ties with its supporters and allies worldwide.
