Hate speech seminars held at EHU within the C.O.N.T.A.C.T. project

On 28-31 March two seminars on the topic of hate speech were held at the European Humanities University (EHU). Seminars were organized by the EHU Department of Social and Political Sciences within the framework of the international project C.O.N.T.A.C.T., which is supported by the European Commission.

The seminars were conducted by international experts in the field of human rights education, Ellie Keen and Miguel Lopez, who are also affiliated with the Council of Europe’s campaign No Hate Speech Movement.

Two seminars were attended by more than thirty people. Within the framework of the seminars, participants learned what hate speech is, how dangerous it is, how hate speech appears online, and most importantly, what can be done to master this widespread phenomenon. In addition, the project C.O.N.T.A.C.T., where the EHU is a partner, was presented.
