Former Vice President of the European Investment Bank joins EHU Governing Board

On February 8, the General Assembly of Part-Owners (GAPO) of the European Humanities University (EHU) endorsed Ms. Eva Srejber to join the EHU Governing Board.

After the appointment of the new membership of the EHU Governing Board on December 17, 2016 one Governing Board seat remained vacant for the nomination of the Swedish government. As a result, a prominent Swedish banking sector professional and former Vice President of the European Investment Bank Ms. Eva Srejber has been appointed by University’s highest decision-making body to complete the composition of the Governing Board.

Chair of the EHU General Assembly of Part-Owners (GAPO) and President of the Eurasia Foundation Mr. Horton Beebe-Center says: “On behalf of EHU’s GAPO, I warmly welcome Ms. Srejber as the member of the Governing Board. Ms. Srejber’s outstanding professional expertise and networks in the area of financial governance will be extremely valuable for the further enhancement of the university’s strategic development. EHU is extraordinarily fortunate to have Ms. Srejber join our team”.

Ms. Srejber began her career at the Sweden’s Riksbank, where she reached the position of the First Deputy Governor of the central bank. She also held office of the Deputy CEO at the Swedbank, and served as International Monetary Fund’s Executive Director for the Nordic-Baltic Constituency. In 2007-2011 Ms. Srejber served as Vice President of the European Investment Bank and was responsible for financing operations in the Nordic and Baltic countries, Russia, Eastern Partnership countries and EFTA. The latest capacity of Ms. Srejber has been the member of the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
