Although gender- and sexuality- related inequalities definitely find expression in figures, for gender studies, a qualitative methodology has always been fundamental. Interviewing, participant observation and other ethnographic techniques enable not only demonstration, but also analysis of embodied experiences, discourses and practices that make social life gendered. More than that, contribution of feminist research to the methodology of social science goes far beyond the study of gender and sexuality.
At the webinar, the concept and the potential program of the course in this field will be presented, followed by a discussion of cases from new media studies and urban studies, plus Q&A session.
