Webinar “Becoming a Finance Lawyer – Modern Challenges and Trends”

On March 30, the Department of Social Sciences of the European Humanities University (EHU) together with the University of Gdańsk within Erasmus+ framework hosts a webinar “Becoming a Finance Lawyer – Modern Challenges and Trends” for students, prospective students and everyone interested in the meeting.

The goal of the webinar is not to learn how to get good final marks for the financial law course. Instead, it will be a kind of  TED-Ed meeting, during which the speakers, who are passionate about financial law will explain that financial law can be not only complicated but also fascinating and worthful for considering it as a possible career choice.

The keynotes will be delivered by:

  • Dr. hab. Edvardas Juchnevičius – Professor of the University of Gdańsk , author of scientific publications on issues of financial law and public finances as well as issues in the field of domestic and international tax law and e-commerce taxation. Scientific interests: international tax law, tax avoidance and tax evasion, artificial intelligence and tax law, taxation of robots.
  • Dr. Damian Cyman – Adjunct Professor at the University of Gdańsk, author of scientific publications on issues of banking law and tax law; attorney at law, visiting professor at various foreign universities in Europe and Asia. Scientific interests: financial consumer protection, tax avoidance and tax evasion, narrow banking.
  • Dr. Przemyslaw Panfil – Adjunct Professor at the University of Gdańsk, author of scientific publications on issues of financial law and public finances; visiting professor at various foreign universities in Europe and Asia. Scientific interests: budget law, fiscal stability, fiscal illusions, central banking and monetary policy.
