The lecture is organised within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme and explores how artificial intelligence and emerging digital technologies are transforming financial services and what this means for consumer protection. It will describe the benefits and risks of algorithmic decision-making, robo-advisors, and fintech platforms from a legal, psychological and ethical perspective.
The session will also discuss how regulatory frameworks in the EU and beyond are adapting to ensure that innovation in finance does not come at the expense of consumer rights and trust.
