Nordic business values and opportunities will be discussed at EHU

Young Lithuanian entrepreneur Dovydas Duoblys, recognized as one of the most successful young business leaders in Northern Europe, will be featured next month in an EHU Public Conversation. It will take place December 1 at 12:00 p.m. at Novotel Vilnius Centre.

Dovydas Duoblys is a partner at Solid Supply—a Lithuanian company that provides furniture based décor solutions for retail stores and shops. His company generates €4 million in turnover with a stable yearly growth rate of 40%. The company’s business model is to move away from mass production to custom-made products. Exporting 70% of its products, the company has a strong Nordic orientation both in terms of market and business culture.

Nordic Business Report includes Duoblys on its list of Greatest Young Leaders under the Age of 30 in Northern Europe together with other entrepreneurs from the region. The criteria for evaluating possible candidates were: results achieved, business sense, originality, practicality and impact of their ideas, international outlook, and responsibility in their actions.

Duoblys’s talk will focus on his experience in starting a company with Nordic values and the current business environment in Lithuania and the Nordics. He will also share what he learned on his way to success. The talk will be moderated by Dr. Darius Udrys, EHU Vice-Rector for Development and Communications.

EHU Public Conversations feature prominent public figures known for the thoughtful application of ideas from a broad range of fields, including philosophy, ethics, literature and the arts, history, politics, economics, psychology, and others.
