The course is designed for 7 weeks (approximately 40 hours) and covers 7 topics. It provides instruction and practice in spoken and written Russian to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The course is asynchronous, which means you do not have the schedule when you need to log in to the course, you are free to study whenever you choose.

In the online course, you will find video and audio materials recorded by native speakers. The exercises are designed to provide immediate feedback to learners and to deliver language drills and skill practice. The tasks and assignments are abundant and diverse. You will find engaging games, audio, and video resources.
During seven weeks you will be able to learn the language with people from different countries. The native speaker tutor, who is knowledgeable in teaching a foreign language and fluent in English, will monitor and facilitate you.
After completion of the course, you will be able to
- recognize basic units of phonetic, lexical and grammatical structures in simple texts;
- read and understand short and simple texts related to the covered topics;
- understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs related to studied topics;
- interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help;
- write a simple and short text or to complete a questionnaire with personal data.
Students who successfully complete the course will receive an EHU Certificate of Completion.
