Call for papers! INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE Right to Education in the Era of Challenges

Join Us at the Conference!
Don’t miss your chance to participate in our upcoming Conference! We invite all interested scholars—established academics, early career researchers (such as PhD candidates), and practicing experts without an academic degree—to submit their abstracts by November 15, 2024, 23:59 Vilnius time.

The right to education is a multidimensional right, including, first of all, access to education, allowing development throughout life. At the same time, the right to education has certain limits, determined by the capabilities and characteristics of states and enshrined in their national law. International legal norms on the right to education appear uniform and unambiguous. 46 states are successfully implementing a large-scale European project to expand access to higher education, improve quality and attractiveness, promote mobility and ensure successful employment of graduates, romantically called the Bologna Process.

But are states really unanimous in their understanding of the right to education? How were the values of the right to education formed? What are the possibilities and limitations of modern national legal systems regarding the implementation of the right to education? How is the right to education implemented in the most dynamic sphere – higher education? How is the right to education implemented in states at war? What place does artificial intelligence play in realising the right to education? How do we see the future of the right to education?

Suggested directions for discussion:
History and Philosophy of the Right to Education
Academic Freedom as an elusive concept
Universal Approach to the Right to Education
Regional Peculiarities of the Right to Education
