The lecture series focuses on three main topics:
- Types of International Relations. The System of International Relations.
The theme of the lecture deals with the role of geopolitics in the science of international relations and the globalization of the international political environment. Contemporary types of international relations and cooperation in the international sphere will be analyzed. The historical stages of the development of international systems will be explored. The future development of the system of international relations will be visualized.
- Conflicts in International Relations. International Security.
The theme of the lecture is devoted to the different types of conflicts in international relations and the construction of the international security system. The concepts of international conflict, its types and different phases of development will be defined. A comparative analysis of the major international conflicts of the twentieth century will be conducted. Recommendations for creating mechanisms to support international security will be made.
- Diplomacy as a Means of Regulating International Relations.
The topic of the lecture is the role of diplomacy as one of the main means of regulating international relations in a modern democratic society. The concept of diplomacy, its forms and means of implementation (special missions, permanent missions, international conferences, international organizations) will be defined, and the main functions of diplomacy: informational, negotiating, and contractual will be discussed. The importance of international organizations as one of the mechanisms for regulating international relations will also be discussed.
After attending the lectures, a certificate is provided that can be used for a portfolio.
