EHU Academic Year 2016/17 opening
For the 12th time, European Humanities University (EHU) will open its doors for new generation of undergraduate and graduate students in Vilnius.
EHU Academic Year 2016/17 opening ceremony will take place on October 3 (Monday) at 12 pm in Campus room 214 (Valakupių g. 5). EHU’s distinguished guests — Lithuania’s Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Neris Germanas and EHU Governing Board member Dr. Žygimantas Pavilionis — will greet undergraduate and graduate high residence students. Chair of the EHU General Assembly of Part-Owners, President of the Eurasia Foundation Horton Beebe-Center will address EHU community by video address.
EHU President Prof. Anatoli Mikhailov, Chief of Academic Affairs Prof. Aliaksandr Kalbaska and Chair of the Senate Prof. Emeritus Ryhor Miniankou will greet EHU’s academic community during the Ceremony.
During the Ceremony “Distinguished Alumnus Award” will be presented to Yahor Zakharko (BA Cultural Heritage and Tourism, Class 2011). Yahor is the founder of Belarus’ first and most successful private music festivals Mirum Music Festival.
After the ceremony guests will proceed to a coffee-break, after which EHU undergraduate students will participate in their first lecture of the “Language and Thinking” course.
EHU faculty members are invited to take part in the open meeting of the EHU Senate, scheduled for 2.40 pm in room 213.
