In 2014, EHU’s German Library will reopen at Tauro g. 12 in Vilnius. Constituting a small but significant collection of German books on philosophy, psychoanalysis and philosophical anthropology, architecture, contemporary art, and history, the library was transported to Vilnius after EHU was forcibly closed in Minsk.
The Library will be open to the public and will be available as a resource for German studies seminars, workshops, and other academic activities as well as personal interest.
The German Library will be reopened thanks to the generosity of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Embassy in Vilnius. It includes volumes contributed by the Embassy of Austria and other donors, as well.
