Prime Minister of Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis: “Lithuanian Government is interested in the successful operations of EHU”

On May 14 in the Government of Lithuania, a working meeting between Rector of the European Humanities University (EHU) Prof. Sergei Ignatov and Prime Minister of Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis took place.

During the meeting, Rector Prof. Ignatov presented University management’s plans for implementation of the recommendations of the Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education, integration of EHU into the Lithuanian academic network, as well as directions of the strategic development. EHU Rector expressed sincere gratitude to the Government of Lithuania for the continuous and long-term support of the University.

Rector stressed that internationalization of studies is an integral part of further reforms at EHU. In addition to that, EHU management plans to foster cooperation with other Lithuanian Universities.

Prime Minister Skvernelis told: “Lithuanian Government is interested in the successful operations of EHU and its further development. We understand the value of EHU, as operating in an exile, and the role of the University for the democratic development of Belarus. Besides, it is crucial to ensure the quality of studies and research at EHU, as well as the development of its cooperation with other Universities”.
