State of EHU affairs presented to German stakeholders

On July 12, the Embassy of Lithuania in Germany hosted a roundtable between the European Humanities University (EHU) leadership and German stakeholders. The meeting, organised with the support of the Belarus office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, started with an address by the former President of the European Parliament, EHU Honorary Doctor Hans-Gert Pöttering.

Within the framework of the meeting EHU Rector Prof. Sergei Ignatov, President Prof. Anatoli Mikhailov and Head of the Communications Unit Maksimas Milta summarised the state of affairs of the University to the representatives of the Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, social and political foundations, representatives of academia, as well as German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). In his opening address Dr. Pöttering stressed: “I will continue promoting the interests of EHU and attract attention of the international donor community and partners to this unique educational project”.

During the roundtable, the achievements and the upcoming EHU Strategy 2019-2014 were discussed, as well as the prospects for the development of the University’s academic capacity and civic engagement.
