EHU leadership meets Lithuania’s Minister of Education and Science Jurgita Petrauskienė

On February 27 in the Office of the Government of Lithuania leadership of the European Humanities University (EHU) held a working lunch with Minister of Education and Science Mrs Jurgita Petrauskienė and Advisor to Prime Minister Ms Unė Kaunaitė.

EHU President Prof. Anatoli Mikhailov and Acting Rector Jørgen Jørgensen expressed sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Science and to the Government of the Republic of Lithuania for their steadfast support and commitment to EHU since its relocation to Vilnius.

EHU leadership informed Minister and Advisor about the current advancements at EHU: optimization of University’s operations, introduction of the Core Curriculum, preparation for the upcoming institutional self-evaluation of EHU and Donors’ Conference, and planned relocation of EHU Campus to the former Augustinian monastery in the Vilnius Old Town.

During the meeting, Minister Petrauskienė encouraged EHU to collaborate more closely with its academic counterparts in Lithuania, particularly in regards to the mutual exchange of University’s experience in the area of implementation of the liberal arts model of education and pedagogics of the distance learning.
